Women's Sport Clubs
General Club Information:
Gung-Ho formed as a team in the Fall of 1998. Since then we have become a nationally competitive team, with the goal each year of advancing to the national tournament in the College Championship Series. In Spring of 2007, we finished first in our region, winning the bid to Nationals where we ended up tying for fifth place (out of 16). Practices are twice a week in the fall, and three times a week in winter and spring. We are affiliated with the Ultimate Players Association (UPA). Club dues depend on the number of tournaments you attend. You can expect to pay $20-40 per tournament, not including food. There are no tryouts, but most of our new recruits join in the fall season. Each quarter, we generally attend 2 or 3 tournaments in locations ranging from Illinois to Michigan to Las Vegas. Tourneys are always on the weekends, usually both Saturday and Sunday. The spring is our official season, where we compete in Sectionals, Regionals, and potentially the National Championship.
