General Club Information:
History The Northwestern University Table Tennis (NUTT) Club was founded on March of 2006. Inspired by the table tennis talent and potential at Northwestern, a group of students came together to form a club to encourage and foster the skills and interests of table tennis enthusiasts around campus. Also, we seek to provide opportunities for students to compete in regional tournaments. Now in our second year, the club holds weekly practices and organizes local and regional tournaments throughout the year, and will be soon travelling to Wisconsin to compete at the ACUI Regional Championships. Philosophy The club is open to all skill levels from those never having held a ping pong paddle before to those who have been trained by coaches for many years. We encourage all those who have interest in the sport to come join us at our practices. Attendance is not mandatory; members can come and go as they please. With the principle that anyone can participate during our club practices, there are no quarterly fees . About the Club We have around 20-25 regular members attending our weekly meetings. We have six tables, thanks to the great support of Norris and the Sports Club Department. We also provide table tennis balls and paddles for those who do not own one. Practice Schedule Our practices are typically held Monday or Tuesday evenings from 8-10 pm at Norris (Either the Louis Room or Wildcat Room). A complete schedule of our practices can be seen at our website, http://groups.northwestern.edu/tabletennis/schedule.htm . Email reminders will be sent a day or two before each practice. To receive these reminders or hear more weekly updates of the club, please subscribe to the listserv by employing the following steps: 1) Send e-mail to listserv@listserv.it.northwestern.edu without any subject line.
