Coed Sport Clubs
General Club Information:
The club was supported by the university until 1994, when it disbanded due to a lack of interest. It was revived in 2001, and now we are a functioning club sport competing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association against other schools. Riders go once a week to Red Coat Farms in Hawthorne Woods, and shows are scheduled throughout the year at Northern Illinois University (one in the fall and one in the spring for regionals), Kansas State University, and Washington University in St. Louis. There are a total of four shows each year. Lessons are $35 each, and purchasing a block of 10 at one time gives an 11th free. Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, Zone 9 Region 2
$30/year
Lessons are scheduled at the start of each quarter. New riders (from beginners through advanced) are encouraged to contact the presidents for more information. Even beginners can compete in horse shows, so don't hesitate!
