Student Access
Group I (Full-time Student Status)
Tuition paid by full-time degree candidate students provides partial
funding for Fitness and Recreation Facilities. Thus, full-time degree candidate
students who are currently enrolled at Northwestern University receive
an automatic Basic Membership and are eligible to use the Henry Crown Sports
Pavilion/Norris Aquatics Center, Patten Gymnasium, and Blomquist Recreation Center
by presenting a valid WildCARD to the front desk attendant. The following
includes the various forms of identification needed to gain entrance to
SPAC.
- Full-time Northwestern University Undergraduate Student: Must be a currently
enrolled tuition paying student and have a valid Northwestern University
WildCARD student identification card.
- Full-time Northwestern University Graduate & Professional Degree
Program Students: Must be a currently enrolled tuition paying student and
have a valid Northwestern University WildCARD student identification card.
- Full-time Northwestern School of Continuing Studies Student: Must be a currently
enrolled tuition paying student and have a valid Northwestern University
WildCARD student identification card.
Three(3) classes or more constitutes full-time status.
Group II (Part-time Student Status)
The following are eligible to purchase a membership at the part-time
student rate.
- Part-time Northwestern and School of Continuing Studies students: Currently
enrolled
part-time students may purchase a membership at the part-time student
rate. Students must present valid Northwestern University WildCard student
identification card.
- Post-Doctoral Students: Graduate students who have completed course
work and are writing a dissertation or doing research are extended part-time
student status. Post-doctoral students must present valid Northwestern
University WildCard student identification card.
Group III (Visiting Student Status)
Visiting students are eligible to purchase a quarter membership at the
part-time student rate.
- Full-time Summer Session Students: Northwestern University Summer Session
students taking two or more classes receive an automatic Basic Membership.
A valid Northwestern University WildCARD is required for entry.
- Part-time Summer Session Students: Northwestern University Summer Session
students taking one class are eligible to purchase a summer quarter membership
at the part-time student rate. A valid Northwestern University WildCARD
is required.
- Department Sponsored Research Students: Individuals participating in
research or academic programs sponsored by Northwestern University academic
departments are eligible for the part-time student quarter rate. A valid
letter of appointment is required from the Department Chair.
- Academic Enrichment Program Students: High School students participating
in Summer academic enrichment programs are eligible to purchase a membership
at the part-time student rate. Students under the age of 16 must comply
with our "Family Hours" policy. For this reason a Ratio of 10:1 has been
established for student to counselor supervision.
