NUFitRec invites you to celebrate National Physical Fitness and Sports Month at Northwestern.

We've planned a variety of events to help you evaluate and strengthen your commitment to

Do you want to lose weight, be stronger, or be healthy and fit?
Are you tired of struggling with your exercise routine?
Take advantage of our FREE Ask the Trainer sessions. Including
Free healthy weight and blood pressure screenings.

Monday/Wednesday, 5-7pm; Tuesday, 7-9am; Friday, 12-1pm; Saturday, 10am-noon.

In an effort to promote the establishment of regular physical activity we invite you to
try us out for free when , NU faculty, staff, when you take advantage of our Free Pass Offer
includes access to fitness facilities and group fitness classes for free.

 

 

FREE Fridays during May
NU faculty, staff, and students receive free use of fitness facilities, including the
Henry Crown Sports Pavilion, Norris Aquatics Center, Patten Gymnasium, and
Blomquist Recreation Center each Friday in May (5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30).

Free Fridays also include free access to group fitness classes.

Healthy weight and blood pressure screenings (May 12-17)

Monday/Wednesday, 5-7pm; Tuesday, 7-9am; Friday, 12-1pm; Saturday, 10am-noon.

 

Lunchtime Presentation: Shape Up for Your Sport (May 14)
Expert advice on how to get in the best shape for your particular sport. (Wednesday, May 14)
FREE light lunch provided. (12:10 - 12:50pm) Pre-registration desired.

National Bike to Work Day (May 16)  
FREE bagels and juice available at the sports & aquatics center
(while supplies last) for those who bike to work!  Friday, May 16, 8-10am

 

Bicycle Workshops (May 16)

Visit the NU Library Plaza for timely workshops covering:
Tire changing, bicycle security, care of bicycles and shipping
your bicycle home. Four 15 minutes sessions plus time for
Q & A will be provided beginning at 11:30am - 1:30pm.

Rec Sports Golf Outing (May 30)

Join us for an afternoon of leisure, fun, and prizes during the
Rec Sports Golf outing at the Highland Park Country Club.

Format: 18 hole, 4-Man Scramble

Cost: $250 per team (includes golf cart and lunch)

Time: Shotgun start begins at 1pm

Registration Deadline: Friday, May 16 at 12noon
