Directions
From Chicago
Take Lake Shore Drive north. At its end (Hollywood Avenue and Sheridan Road intersection), turn right on to Sheridan Road. Take Sheridan north for five miles, following the green-and-white "Sheridan Road, Lake Michigan Circle Tour" signs when Sheridan bends (don't worry if the street signs do not say Sheridan for a few blocks). When reversing the directions to go to Chicago, note that left turns are not permitted at these intersections at rush hours:
Sheridan Road where it bends east at the southern part of the campus. Continue south (you'll be on Chicago Avenue) to Main Street, where you can turn left and drive to Sheridan Road.
Sheridan Road where it bends left at Devon Avenue in Chicago. Continue south (you'll be on Broadway Avenue) to Hollywood Avenue, where you can turn left and drive to Lake Shore Drive.
From O'Hare International Airport
Follow outbound traffic to I-294 (Tri-State Tollway) north (signs say "To Milwaukee"). Exit at Dempster (east). At Potter Road (the first stoplight), turn left (north). Take Potter Road one-half mile to Golf Road. Turn right (east) and follow Golf Road about 10 miles into Evanston (where it becomes Emerson Street) and to Sheridan Road. Turn left on to Sheridan Road and travel north.
From the north on I-94 (Edens Expressway)
Exit at U.S. 41 (south) and continue south to Lake Avenue (second stoplight). Turn left (east) on to Lake Avenue and travel about three miles to Sheridan Road. Turn right (south) on to Sheridan Road and follow the green-and-white "Sheridan Road" signs when Sheridan bends.
From the south on I-94 (Edens Expressway)
Exit at Dempster east. Travel about five miles on Dempster Street to Chicago Avenue. Turn left (north) on to Chicago Avenue, which merges into Sheridan Road about three-quarters of a mile north.
From the north on I-294 (Tri-Sate Tollway)
At Deerfield, I-294 splits. Follow I-94 (Edens Expressway) "To Chicago" signs. Exit at U.S. 41 south. Follow "From the north on I-94" directions, above.
From the south on I-294 (Tri-Sate Tollway)
Exit at Dempster east. Follow "From O'Hare International Airport" directions, above.
From Midway Airport
Turn left (north) out of the airport on to Cicero Avenue. Travel north about two miles to I-55 (Stevenson Expressway). Take I-55 to Lake Shore Drive. Follow "From Chicago" direction, above.
